Jodie Batchelor
Jodie is the current Victorian Vets Criterium and Road champion in her age group. She has been racing for several years now and likes any event that involves sprinting and not too many hills. She initially used cycling as an important part of her rehabilitation from a mountaineering accident in New Zealand. She then got into racing as a replacement for martial arts in which she represented Australia and won Gold, Silver & Bronze medals in the Martial Arts World Games in 2000.

This ride is on every year - rain, hail and shine, and most riders who have done this a few times will have experienced all sorts of weather.

Around the Bay in a Day® is Australia's premier mass participation bike ride. Leading into its sixteenth year, the event is experiencing significant growth, with over 14,000 riders participating in 2007.

Riders taking part in the challenge also have the opportunity to go the extra mile and raise money for official charity partner The Smith Family. Last year these riders raised a record figure of over $500,000 for The Smith Family.
