After a couple of weeks in the states I came back to some success at the Drake Blvd crit this past Sunday. I took out the B Grade win which paid out $75.00. The race proceeded with the usual attacks which were all chased down pretty quick until about 10km to go when 3 riders got away. I sat in for a few laps keeping an eye on them. I finally decided something needed to get done to drag these guys back so I started rolling turns up front with a couple of others. When we caught them, instead of easing up, I attacked just hard enough to hurt these guys as we passed them. One of them actually screamed out at me that I should have jump across to them and helped... like Hell, I had a plan. I felt pretty confident that if I got to the sprint without having exerted too hard I could out do them. And I won by slaughtering them in the sprint. It was a windy day and after sitting 5th wheel for the last lap I took off by myself as we rounded the final corner. I gapped them by 3 bike lengths.
