Jan 08 Bright Boot Camp Report from Lisa Rosan

Lisa has attended the Bright Boot camp twice. Her second time was on Jan 2008 Camp. Lisa is also being coached through Cycling-Inform's Remote Training Program and a power house of strength for a rider that hasn’t been on the bike for that long.

Here is Lisa's report...

As well as thoroughly enjoying every aspect of the camp, yes, even the pain going up the Meg, I've noticed significant changes 1 week later.   My overall performance in the CCCC Crit on Tuesday 5/2 was noticeably different, I felt much stronger climbing the rise on the back straight and was first female across the line for the first time, and and about 10th overall, again my best result.  My recovery from the climb on each lap seemed better and I had more left at the end for the sprint.  I've not long been racing in C grade so am amazed at the improvement in my performance after the four days of punishment/enjoyment you put us through.

I am no longer reluctant to ride hills.  I now enjoy the challenge and have done quite a few big hill rides, maybe because they seem so much easier than Mt Hotham!  Completing the whole 4 days this time around was fantastic too, as in November I turned around at Mt Beauty instead of conquering Falls Creek - I think it would have conquered me back then.

I have also lost a little bit of wight around my hips and waist, maybe 1-2 cm each, although that was not a specific goal, rather a pleasant surprise!
