Success at 2008 Maryborough South Pacific Champs - Day 2

11Feb2012

Day two was the 300m sprint in the morning and the 15km Time Trial in the afternoon. All of the riders under the Cycling-Inform coaching program medalled in the events they entered. Jodie Batchelor (Woman 34-39) and Jane Hill (woman 45-49) contested the 300m Sprint and won 2nd and 1st respectively. Jane Hill produced enough power to get over Aileen O’Brien (2nd) and Stephanie Frawley (3rd). Jodie having started slower than Leigh-Anne Dynon (1st) managed to almost catch her on the line but missed out by almost nothing.

In the 15 km Time Trial Jane Fitzpatrick rode away to win with Jodie Batchelor placing 3rd in the 34-39 woman’s category. Jodie rode particularly well as most of our training had been focused on the sprint. Leigh-Anne Dynon placed 2nd. Jane Hill placed a respectable 3rd in her woman’s 45-49 category in the time trial with Stephanie Frawley placing 1st with a fast 22.30.39 and Trudy Fenton placed 2nd.
