Trashed myself in last nights workout!

Got an e-mail from Greg today with the subject title "Trashed myself in last nights workout!".

Greg is 10 weeks into his 12 week block of cycling training and is starting to feel the effects of a fairly heavy training workload.

Greg is recreational rider who is training with power. The power numbers I’m seeing from him inform me that he could quite happily take on a B-grade cycle race and inflict some serious amount of pain on his fellow cycling competitors.

Greg’s doing really well and at this point in time. In week 10 we are staring to see a drop off in his cycling power.

This is a good sign and shows that Greg is training hard. As I said to him quite simply on the phone today...

"Now you are training".

After a recovery week Greg will feel (and quoting Lance Armstrong) “like he is riding without a chain”….  Serious cycling training for serious cycling results.

People respond to cycling training intensity differently. Some, when you load them up, just keep getting faster whiles others, like Greg, improve though a cycle of step-ups.

Greg is one of the many cyclists that it's a great honor to be working with.

Well done to Greg and to all the cyclists that are on our cycling coaching program. You are all doing fantastically well!
