2011 Australian Masters Games Cycling-Inform Team

Become part of the Cycling-Inform team for the 13th Australian Masters Games in Adelaide 7-16 October 2011. By joining the team you'll get a Cycling-Inform cycling kit and have the option to either get a customised training program or be assigned to your very own personal coach that will be helping you with your every pedal stroke leading up to the Games.

You'll also be able to tap into our cycling community for additional support during your preparation and while the games are on.

Option One - 12 or 24 week Custom Training Program:

  • 12 or 24 week customised cycling program based on your events and fitness level
  • A Cycling-Inform Cycling kit (either bib-shorts and jersey or skinsuit)
  • Meeting point on the day of your event and access to trainers to warm up on
  • Exclusive access to Cycling-Inform's coaching community forum

 

Option Two - Remote Online Cycle Coaching for 12 or 24 weeks:

  • Your own personal coach
  • 12 or 24 week customised cycling program based on your events and fitness level
  • Weekly hookups with your coach to review your cycling data, provide feedback and tweak your cycling program if required
  • A Cycling-Inform Cycling kit (either shorts and jersey or skinsuit)
  • Meeting point on the day of your event and access to trainers to warm up on
  • Exclusive access to Cycling-Inform's coaching community forum

Do I get an individual customised program?

We write you an individual program every four weeks for the 12 weeks. We structure your program around your family and work commitments with an emphasis on efficient time saving training to ensure you maximise the time you spent on the bike.

Do you get a personal coach?

No

If you take the Online coaching option you will get a personal coach.

Do I get regular contact with my coach?

No

Yes

You are able to send quick e-mails and text messages to your coach during the 12 weeks. You are also able to have a regular hook-up via phone with them most weeks up to a maximum duration of 30 minutes (call frequency and duration is negotiated with your coach). These hook-ups are for you to discuss whatever is important to you in relation to your cycling and your coaching program.

Do I get assistance with my goals?

No

We help you set your goals and we review them during the 12 weeks.

Do I get season planning?

Yes

Yes

Your season planning is created when you join the program and we review it during the 12 weeks.

Do you review my cycling data?

No

Yes

We review your cycling, power and heart rate data at your regular hook-ups. We can review Polar, SRM, PowerTap and Garmin files.

Do I get advice on my riding technique?

No

Yes

We provide you with advice on your riding technique and your daily exercises at your regular hook-ups.

Do I get advice on race craft, tactics and strategy?

No

Yes

We provide advice leading up to your races as well as debriefing you after races in your regular hook-ups.

Do you help me with my Nutrition?

No

Yes

We provide advice on nutrition and review this at your regular hook-ups. We cover in ride and race nutrition as well as daily nutrition advice.

Can I renew? Does it only last for 12 weeks?

Yes

Yes

Most people renew after the 12 weeks. Some have been on the program for several years. This is especially important if you have a full year of racing. We discount the renewal too!

Can I lose weight on this program?

Yes

Yes

If you follow the program you will lose weight.

Will I see results?

Yes

Yes

Most people on the program report improvements within the first four weeks.

I don't have a lot of time to train. Is the program making good use of the time that I do have available?

Yes

Yes

There will be no junk km's in your program. We use the latest in high performance training techniques to ensure that you maximise your training time and get results fast.

Do you train using power and heart rate zones?

Yes

Yes

All our daily scheduled training sessions are detailed and based on specific heart rate or power zones and specific cadences.

Any masters cyclist in Australia can join the team.
