Dana raising funds for Amy Gillett Foundation

Dana Harris who is being coached by Cycling-Inform is raising funds for the Amy Gillett Foundation by taking part in the Tasmania Share the Road Tour November 17-20 2011. The funds raised are used to promote a shared respect between motorists and cyclsits.

Dana is a parent of a young cyclist and member of Dubbo Cycle Club and Orana Vets (Central West, NSW), and is very mindful that there needs to be more education in changing the mindset of both motorists and cyclists in rural NSW. For this reason she is excited to be able to do something that will be both challenging (because she don't like hills!) and rewarding in order to make cycling safer not only for my community but the whole cycling fraternity. Collectively, she is hoping that the money raised will heighten motorists and cyclists’ awareness of equally sharing the road via intensive media coverage in order for her family, club members and other cyclist to get home safely.
