2011 Australian Masters Cycling Road National and Australian Masters Games results

You can’t be in two places at one time so while the 2011 Australian Masters Cycling Road National is being concluded in Ballarat I’ve been driving over to Adelaide for the Australian Masters Games.  Today and yesterday have proved to be very successful for Cycling-Inform riders.

In the 2011 Australian Masters Road National Road Championships yesterday Heather received a gold and Sue got silver in the WMAS5. Heath placed a respectable ninth in MMAS1 while James placed ninetienth in MMAS2 and Dan Ives placed eleventh in the MMAS8. Graham placed 23rd in MMAS6.

The 2011 Australian Masters Road National Road Championships concluded today with WMAS6 Philippa taking out gold again and the champion of champions. Jennifer took out fourth place in the same division.  Andrew managed a breakaway with Stephen Fairless and placed second in the MMAS4 with Harry finishing with the bunch in fourteen place. Jodie picked up her third silver for the series in WMAS3 while Carly placed third in WMAS2.

In Adelaide at the Australian Masters Games we had Fran take out gold place in the WMAS3 division. Dana secured her bronze in WMAS4 while Lynne (pictured above) got gold in WMAS7. The field was too strong for John and Kevin (pictured below) in the MMAS4 and they both just missed out on medal placing but each put in a respectable ride.
