Back to Cycling basics in 2009

2009 is here and it’s a great time to remind yourself of some of the basics.

Found this article on the web and though it would be of interest if you are a bike commuter riding to work. It discusses ways to keep motivated...

This article is for all you young guns out there wanting to get sponsored by a big team or bike company.

    Excel At One Thing

Found this great article on way to keep motivated by Selene Yeager. Sometimes the hardest thing about getting in shape, and staying that way, is finding the motivation to get out the door.

It was wet and miserable on our weekend ride and nearly everyone had troubles with flat tyres. This lead to a debate between everyone on who had the best and smartest emergency tookit set. A few different points of view is always good and here is mine along with some suggestions from others.

Yesterday was the annual Around the Bay in a Day ride in Melbourne.  It’s a spectacular thing to see over 30,000 cyclists take part in a ride that goes either 210km or 250km. There are few places in the world with this much enthusiasm and participation in cycling.
