Cyclismo comes from the Italian world ciclismo, meaning cycling, and that's what the weekend is all about. A range of participation, spectator and interactive activities give you the chance to immerse yourself in every aspect of cycling. There is is pro racing plus the chance to ride with the pro's. The Annual Heartbeat Geelong Original Otway Classic is on again in 2008. This event, in its 29th year will be held on Sunday 9th November.

Organised by the Audax Club of Australia and takes place in some of Victoria's most spectacular Alpine country. It will be held in Bright, North East Victoria.

Sunday September 14th 2008. Princess Park, Shepparton

This is a challenging event, but not a race. 3 ride distances - 50km & 100 km rides are basically over flat terrain while the 200 km event includes a 14 km climb through the Strathbogie Ranges.

Ride 4 the Environment is the first exciting major event of the Sport 4 the Environment program. A fully supported ride through the picturesque Mornington Peninsula. Funds raised go directly to sporting club sustainability programs. There are 4 ride options.

Each year this ride takes a different route. This year the ride is through gold country and the Grampians, past wineries and back to historic Ballarat.

Around the Bay in a Day® is Australia's premier mass participation bike ride. Leading into its sixteenth year, the event is experiencing significant growth, with over 14,000 riders participating in 2007.

The cycling sensation that is the Great Ocean & Otway Classic Ride will be back with conviction on 14 March 2009!

SUB Women's Cycle Challenge - St Kilda

The first time this was run was 2007 and some of my friends took part and really enjoyed it. Some others are now training and will take part this year as their first riding event.

This year's ride will once again coincide with the Sussan Women's Fun Run with a draft date scheduled for Saturday 6 December 2008 at St Kilda's event magnet, Catani Gardens. Entry's open on 8 September.
