Thanks David and Cycling-Inform for the KOM support for the Hawthorn Trophy Race. It made a huge difference. Your sponsorship and a little bit of promotion has risen the bar for other clubs in the Northern Combine and helped more woman into racing. Many Regards, Harry Hanley, HCC

Saturday: KOM competition spices up the CCCC racing at Modella.
What looked like being a pretty miserable and wet afternoon ended up much better, with only the occasional shower punctuating the afternoon. CCCC was delighted to welcome us as a race sponsor to the Modella circuit. We provided $500 worth of King of the Mountain prizes across all grades plus Matt Brindle's DVD for place getters. Read the full race report here
Sunday: KOM Southern Vets Lang Lang Yannathan Circuit.
Then is was back to the Lang lang Yannathan Circuit to support our local Southern Vets Cycling Club for another wet and wild day out in the saddle. This time $750 were up for grabs for the KOM over Heaths Hill plus Matt's PowerUp DVD for all winners. Read the results here

Here is his race report:
"Hi everybody,
Thank you one and all for your support of 'A Whole Lot of Trouble'. I am truly overwhelmed by the magnitude of that support whether it was time, donations, publicity or encouragement.
Our starting time was 10:00am on Friday and we finished 35 hrs 15 mins later. We sped along on adrenalien on Friday and were over 1.5 hours ahead of our schedule at one point near the end of the day. We arrived at our overnight rest stop at 11:45pm (cf. planned time 1:00am) and elected to use the gain in extra sleep (= 5 hours). However, Friday's speed couldn't be maintained on Saturday so we missed our target of 34 hours. It is a team event and I'm pleased to say we crossed the line together, hand in hand at 9:15pm on Saturday.
Along the way we saw some amazing things - like a young woman struggling along in thongs because she couldn't get her runners on her feet which were covered in bandages; like a man attacking a large blister on his foot with a pen knife while his team mates waited to continue; like people limping badly but still pushing on.
I'm pleased that we finished in fairly good condition - a few blisters between us, sore feet and a lot of aching muscles, a couple of scratches where the bush exacted its toll. After a soak in a hot Radox bath and a good night's sleep, the rigours of the event were just receding memories. It was a very worthwhile experience. Would I do it again? Ask me later.

Thank you all once again .......... Jules".
