John's Col d' Auisque Climb in his Cycling-Inform kit and matching Colnago bike

John sent me this photograph a few days ago. He was on the remote coaching program early on this year in preparation for a few events he was riding, this one included. Sounds like a dream ride.

"Big day of climbing for a heavy mammoth like me, organised by Peter Montgomery of Mont Cycling Tours, but definitely my favourite and most rewarding ride. Beginning from Argeles Gazost , up the often steep Col de Soulor with sections flashing b/n 8% up to 12-14%  and across to Col d’ Aubisque. It was a real hoot for the scenery, the crowd camped and most walking 10Km+ up the mountain from both Aucun and  Laruns. We Returned via Louvie-Juzon and Lourdes on a 110Km loop. Ripper ride with a great crew of blokes from the EC Peloton group from Elwood Vic. Looked after me and provided the necessary first Aid when required."
