Fantastic results at SVCC Dandenong Criterium - 6 March 2011
Congratulations to Bill, John and all the marshals, commissars, support staff and everyone else involved for the first Dandenong Criterium run by SVCC. A great day of racing that went off without a hitch under sunny conditions. The tie in with the City of Greater Dandenong and the other sponsors; CycleSport Victoria Jayco, Barry Bourke Motors, Australian Foams & Tapes and Access Hire was well orchestrated as well as working really well. All your hard work leading up to the event and on the day paid off. I hope that there are many more of these types of races in the future.
Also well done for all the riders that supported the event. It was great to see so many riders out having a good time with quality racing across all the events.
Cycling-Inform did what we could to ensure well representation and support for the event with thirteen riders competing on the day. Stephanie Ives took out 1st place for the Open woman’s while Danny Kah and Brendan Rowbotham placed 1st and 3rd in the Masters A grade race. All the other Cycling-Inform riders rode well and it was great to see them taking on the challenge to ride as hard as they could.
It was also great to catch up with some of the other riders that we coach as well that were not racing; Carly Williams, Victoria Luxton-Bain and Mark Jasper as well as everyone else that I bumped into on the day.

Stephanie Ives, (coached by David Sturt) on her way to 1st place in Open Woman's A Grade. Well done Steph!

While Danny Kah broke away in the last ten mins and held off the main bunch to place 1st in the A grade Masters Race

Brendan Rowbotham places 3rd in the same race.
Other Cycling-Inform riders on the day's racing included the following:

Danny, Brendan and Harry driving the bunch during the race.

Barney Barnett taking the corner at speed.

James looking smooth through the corner too.

Harry and Michael working hard in the bunch.

Michael Fisher keeping it tight.

Jodie Batchelor sporting her St Kilda Kit and new sponsored Giant Bike racing Woman's A grade open.

Clare Dallat rode the A Grade Woman's race well.

Amma Griffiths also rode the A Grade Woman's race well.

Kris Homes riding his newly custom build Cannondale bike riding. Looking great Kris after a bike fit by me last week.

Peter May who got a flat in the early part of his B grade masters race

Luke James who had his first Open A grade race. Well done Luke!
