Cycling-Inform coaching results - week ending 11th Sept 2011
Details are stretchy but we have had a few results over the last few weeks.
In the 2011 UCI Masters World Championships, Dave Fairburn (photograph above), who has been doing some altitude training here at the studio in Highett, placed a respectable 9th in the ITT event in his age division while Jennifer Sammons placed 2nd in the ITT event in her age division. Jennifer has been on the remote coaching program for many months in preparation for this event. She came second to a woman that has been a world champion 13 times.
Also, Jeroen Rombouts who is on the remote coaching program and is based in the Netherlands has been racing in France and picked up the red jersey for sprint points in the Tour de Guyane 2011. His Team has also won the best Amateur team in Holland.
Gareth Evans finished the 2011 Audax Paris Brest Paris.
Great International results, well done!
In local news Andrew Weightman (photo below) took out 2nd place in CCCC's Club championship in the MM4 division while Stephanie Ives (photo above) won the Woman's A grade Hawthorn Trophy race. Jodie Batchelor won the SKCC Woman's Masters Road Championships.
