Cycling-Inform results week ending 6 Nov 2011

Another big week on the local race calendar with the Wellington Cycling Club’s Stratford to Dargo.  Cycling-inform rider David Sturt (Carnegie Caulfield Cycling Club) took out 1st place in the MMAS4 with an epic solo break that went soon after the race started.  Daniel Abotomey (Sunbury Cycling Club Inc ) placed 2nd and Michael Villani (Hawthorn Cycling Club) place 3rd. Cycling-Inform rider Andrew Weightman (Carnegie Caulfield Cycling Club) (pictured) DNF’ed with a puncture in the same category in the closing km’s of the race.

In the Elite Woman Cycling-Inform rider Stephanie Ives (Carnegie Caulfield Cycling Club) placed 2nd to Miranda Griffiths (St Kilda Cycling Club Inc), 3rd place getter Lucy Coldwell (Carnegie Caulfield Cycling Club) and 4th place getter Cycling-Inform rider Marlena Klaic (St Kilda Cycling Club Inc).

Cycling-Inform Darren Sayers MMAS3 (Carnegie Caulfield Cycling Club) just coming back from a break off the bike had a big day in the saddle. This tough race took its toll and he DNF’ed after a commendable fight to stay in the race.

In othere news well done for another PB for Graham Tierney over Sydney's ATTA's Calga ITT course and James McArdle's 3rd place to Mark Thompson and 2nd place Russell O Toole at Casey Fields A Grade race on the Sunday.
