APRES VELO update

APRES VELO rolled out in 2006 to fill a void within the cycling industries casual clothing offering and is fast gaining traction amongst the Australian cycling retailers and passionate followers of the sport.
Its founder and M.D. Leonard Greis, describes APRES VELO as an Aussie brand which blends heritage graphics with an offbeat sense of humour to create a unique and edgy range of T’s and sweatshirts.
“We are to the cycling industry, what the surf brands were to its cult following many years ago….only now cycling is amongst the worlds fastest growing sports and recreational pastimes”, Leonard said.
Leonard and his designer partner Sarina Tomchin are two eccentric cycling crazies playing their part in the cycling evolution . With Leonard being an avid road cyclist/commuter and Sarina preferring the “dirt”, their attitudinal and quirky graphics printed on silicone washed fabrications, culminates in a super – comfortable range of T shirts that appeal to all bike-fixated obsessives.
Whilst Leonard intends to grow the brand both in Australia and abroad, he is determined to keep the brand offering niche, and not take it mainstream. For this reason alone, APRES VELO’s market will remain with selected cycling and sport boutiques coupled with its web sales.
APRES VELO recently appointed a distributor in Australia ( TMO Sports Pty Ltd), as well as in the USA ( Live The Ride Marketing LLC) . It is also currently in discussions with potential distributor partners in Europe, South Africa and New Zealand.
APRES VELO’s product range is set to diversify to include high tech training T’s, cycling jerseys, Coffee Mugs, Jewelry, coasters and placemats which will become available in the second half of 2009.
