Product Description

Ride Faster for longer with more comfort!

Increase your power by an extra 10 %, 20%, 30% or 40% within the next 2 months.

Whether it's time trailing, sprinting or hill climbing, your ability to do these things is directly related to how well you are trained to put down the maximum amount of power to the pedals in the most efficient way.

This is why producing power on the bike is so important to cyclists.

Cycling is about dynamic functional movement, as with all sports. By recruiting the maximum amount of muscles to do a specific movement or task you will develop far more whole body power and stability while reducing your chance of injury than by using traditional muscle isolating strength training.

Training one muscle at a time in isolation causes great imbalances in the strength distribution of muscles throughout the entire body. The very nature of traditional muscle isolating strength training trains the body's nervous systems to shut down its ability to recruit and use muscles together to produce power!

Anyone that has performed traditional muscle isolating strength training runs the risk of having detuned their body's ability to develop whole body function power.

Wouldn't you rather have your whole body working together to produce power rather than just one muscle? Instead of isolating and strengthening one muscle, functional training specifically trains your body to recruit the maximum amount of muscles to develop power to the pedals.

Matt Brindle's Power-Up Functional Strength Training will help you to climb fastest, sprint faster, time trial faster, for longer and with more comfort.

Matt Brindle's Power-Up Functional Strength Training has been developed to step you though functional exercises and mobility stretches specifically designed for cyclists. These exercises will power-up your nervous system and muscles to get them working together. This will help you to produce far more whole body functional strength on the bike than you will get by doing traditional muscle isolating strength training and will quickly transform your riding to the next level.

There is no need to join an expensive gym or use expensive gym equipment to   do this program. You can do Matt Brindle's Power-Up Functional Strength Training and Mobility Stretches at home using basic equipment.

Matt Brindle's Power-Up Functional Strength Training unleashes your full body power potential and will change the way you power train for cycling.

"After some research bought Matt Brindle's DVD "Cycling Power-Up", Functional Strength Training for Cyclists. This is a MUST HAVE. All cyclists, not just those doing rehab, in fact everyone should be doing these exercises and mobilisers". - Ian B Freeman - Brisbane - Australia.

"I recently purchased the Matt Brindle DVD from you. I have done the mobilises exercises a couple of times and the beginner series once. Wow! What a workout. I was pretty sore the next day, but nothing too bad." Tyler, Port Angeles, WA, United State.

"I have worked with some of the best functional training experts in the world and I don't believe there are many people that truly understand functional training as demonstrated by the majority of people that post on youtube. However, Matt talks about function like a true applied functional scientist. I used to race for Great Britain and never came across a cycling coach that talked about conditioning in the way that Matt does. Very good video! Well done Matt" - mkpt50 on YouTube

  1. Forget fancy wheels etc, this works

Posted by Chris, Sydney on 1st Sep 2011

I have recently worked Matt brindle strength training into my weekly training and am finding huge improvements in power.

I train using powertap so everything I do is quantifiable and the investment of 3 hours per week to complete three quality sessions is the most useful investment of my time I can invest.

My power output has jumped up 8% on my best ever efforts doing hill efforts.

  2. The Matt Brindle DVD saved me from a serious bike accident

Posted by Kevin Moon on 13th Apr 2010

Last January when I was starting to lift again for the summer season I ordered Matt's DVD and started following it well (though not religiously).

I'm in the middle of the intermediate level. On Saturday I was out riding for a quick hour thinking I'd lift in the evening for 30 minutes, and was t-boned (as they say) by an Escalade that ran a stop sign. Didn't see this rider in a bright yellow jersey. Took a serious flight through the air and fall, got a ride to the hospital in an ambulance, x-rayed up and I'm just covered with bruises and road rash. My Moots may not have faired so well.

Just wanted to let you know that the lifting (and mobilisers) I was doing, I believe, made a huge difference in my ability to roll with the collision and support the bones etc when I landed. No back issues at all. Thanks so much. I GREATLY appreciate the time you put into all aspects of the DVD.

  3. Best I've used to date

Posted by Steve Wildey - South Florida, USA on 22nd Oct 2008

With the off season starting here in South Florida I plan on hitting it hard in preparation for next year. Matt's training is the best I've used to date. I got noticeable results within the first 20 days and am excited to get back into it and get beyond the intermediate 1 program.

  4. Powering up climbs

Posted by Steve Wildey - USA on 11th Jul 2008

A couple of months ago I ordered Matt Brindles’ Power Up Functional Strength Training DVD. I followed the steps and implemented it into my morning training 4X per week... The results were obvious this past week end when I went into the Georgia hills to do some mountain biking. The climbs were often technical, long and it was hot out. I powered up everything I rode and felt like I had more to spare. I’ve always been an "ok" climber but now I feel like a power climber. Here’s the kicker…I haven’t gotten past the intermediate program 1 yet on the DVD..!

  5. Tough but good

Posted by Warren Smith - Victoria, Australia on 11th Jul 2008

Completed my first Brindle session last night – a lot tougher than it looks at first blush! I can see how its going to be VERY valuable. I’ve even decided to only do the odd rollers session and latte rides for the next few weeks while I work up to intermediate level.
